The Dating Scene in Atlanta sucks… where are all the good men ?

Question: Hello Madam Koverage. I am a 27 year old woman residing in Atlanta, GA. I have a great job making close to six figures, I work out daily, come from a good family, so I believe I am a good catch. It is sooo hard finding a good man here in Atlanta. The dating scene as I see it is a joke. Half of the men are either gay or broke, and the other half know that they can have as many women as they want because the ratio to men and women is way off. I love living in Atlanta, but I am not getting any younger. I am not desperate for love, but I am ready to be with someone I could potentially spend the rest of my life with. Where are some places that I can meet nice, handsome, straight, & established men? Thanks

Answer:  Hmm very interesting case, but  have you truly evaluated yourself and past relationships to see why you are truly single? I had the opportunity to share your question with several men and women, and got some very interesting feedback. Some were turned  off by the fact that you told us how much you make. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with doing well for yourself and bringing in a great salary, but you have to be careful how you approach guys with that. Some people may see it as a turn off if that’s the first thing you say to introduce yourself. Humility speaks larger than anything else you will bring to the table. Now as someone who currently lives in Atlanta and is Single, I can agree with you that the ratio to women and men is off, but that shouldn’t discourage you. No matter what, DO NOT SETTLE! Don’t let the pressures of getting married and being almost 30 get to you. You deserve the best and true love, so truly think what are you looking for in a mate, and what would you be willing to compromise on (because relationships are all about compromise). Just keep working on you, and Mr. Right will appear when you least expect it.

I came up with a list of places that you could potentially run into Mr. Right, but of course it could happen ANYWHERE! So I hope this helps! Good luck, be patient, & be humble!

  1. It’s rough in Atlanta for straight men as well. I’m 38/m, never married, no kids, with a stable career and women still run from me like the plague despite being gainfully employed with three college degrees. If you’re not a hoodrat or a redneck, women ignore you here. In addition, the ladies in Atlanta are either selling it or looking for a sugar daddy. I’m looking forward to retiring in 6 years and leaving Hellanta…

  2. this is lies their many gay women as gay men also alot of straight guys are single in atlanta due to the picky women,i bet those women reject good men, plus why soo many of them single baby mamas?that myth of more women then men in atlanta is bullcrap the only women who say it are women who arent bein approached by men and use that excuse.the dating is horrible in atlanta im 27 and been single for a min the women are trash!!!
